Fall rolled into our neighborhood and with it brought pumpkin patches, surprise friends, Halloween fun and hay. This season isn't complete until one experiences all aspects of hay: hay forts, hay mazes, hay bales, hay rides, hay in the face and of course hay in places where it shouldn't be:) Needless to say, we experienced all of these on our fall adventures this year.
We kicked off the season at a pumpkin patch with cousins. We painted pumpkins, ran through a spooky haunted house and rode on some cool toys. The day concluded with some adult fun at a winery. Perfect end to a perfect day.
Some of our favorite character friends also decided to make an appearance this season. Cinderella rode in our her pumpkin while Spiderman swung in on his web for another beautiful fall day complete with princess and superhero lessons, games, and crafts. Even though Connor was apprehensive at first trying to discern if this was the "real" Spiderman, he enjoyed every minute of his time with his favorite superhero. Corynn, on the other hand, had a deep conversation with Cinderella.
Cinderella: "Today is so sunny. It's a bit warmer than I expected."
Corynn: "That's because God wanted it to be this way!"
The Halloween festivities continued with our annual pumpkin carving followed by parties and trick or treating. This year, Connor and Corynn managed to carve their pumpkins all by themselves. They were proud of their final masterpieces. Bennett loved playing with all the pumpkin goo and eating the yummy seeds.
School parties and more fun with friends rounded out this fall season.
Our dynamic trio of our very own Spiderman, Cinderella, and our heavyweight boxer made this Halloween a very memorable one. The big kids ran from house to house gathering up all their trick or treats while our little guy walked all on his own, never putting his heavy candy bag down, making sure to thank every one as he collected his goodies.
