They both were so excited the minute we entered the building. They each proudly took their tickets, handed them to the ticket taker, and kept their stubs to show off.
Next they fixed their eyes on the arcade room and treat counter. First we decided to get our kid fun packs complete with an ample supply of popcorn (enough for their mom to share with them), a big bag of fruit snacks and a cold cup of tasty lemonade. We reserved the arcade as a bribery technique for good behavior.
We then set off into the theater. As soon as we walked in, both of their eyes opened wide and their jaws dropped to floor at the size of the screen. Connor exclaimed, "Wow that is REALLY big." We then embarked on the decision of where to sit. I felt like Goldilocks, "This seat was too close, that seat is too far in the middle(we needed a quick exit in case of a meltdown), but then we found the ones that were just right.
We sat down, started eating our snacks and were set for the movie to begin.
Connor sang the Rio song, while Corynn chair danced in between stuffing her face with popcorn. We left the movie early and enjoyed some fun games before we set off to their cousins to enjoy the beautiful weather.
I know we all can't wait to go back, although I think we'll attend the free ones for a while.
