Goal

Connor officially started playing his first sport: Soccer.  He made his debut on the field last weekend along with Dad who took over coaching a mini team.  Too bad mom forgot to charge her camera to take pictures, but for week two, we were ready for the fun filled practice.

Connor was so excited to get all dressed up in his uniform. He even got a blue soccer ball which matched his jersey perfectly.

Coach Dad prepared to teach five 3 year olds the concepts of soccer. 

He had them run various drills, or for some, just run all around the field.  They dribbled the ball and learned, or tried to, not to use their hands, they kicked to score goals, and even played games like red light green light and kick the coach.  All the kids knew to run for green but the concept of red and stopping was something they just didn't want to comprehend.  They loved trying to kick the ball and hit the coach too. 



  
While the kids had a blast, the coach came away from the practice with a battle scare and much needed rest.  I mean who wouldn't be tired from trying to get a bunch of kids to listen and follow directions.  Even though those are hard tasks to accomplish, Coach Ben did achieve the most rewarding accomplishment for all; having a fun time.
