We are slowly but surely entering a world filled with pink, ruffles, makeup, etc. I think the process started a later with our beautiful girl as she always has wanted to or has done everything her big brother has done. Outfits always consisted of t shirts and jeans and extra curricular activities included soccer, baseball and digging in the dirt. Don't get me wrong, she still excels at all of the above and doesn't mind getting messy or trying to hit a home run, but requests for dresses, a closet full of sparkle shoes and getting her hair done (besides the normal ponytail) have
picked up. She also just completed her first activity, sans brother, which was dance.

Every Monday Corynn donned a pink leotard and tutu and set off for over an hour of tap, ballet and tumbling. It didn't hurt that she had a special friend each week by her side. She learned how to shuffle, plié, and somewhat do a cartwheel through the course of the year.
All the hard work paid off as she entered the big stage for the first time to perform her recital tap number, Think Pink. The girls did an amazing job, and Corynn was a show stealer in her parents and grandparents eyes:) Corynn of course loved all the attention including receiving beautiful bouquets of flowers.
A year of dance is now in the memory books, but there will be more to come. For now, she is singing and dancing around the house wearing her special costume. So until next time, Shut Up and Dance with Me!
