Our little princess isn't so little anymore. She has officially turned 5. These past 5 years we have seen her grow into a beautiful girl both inside and out. She makes us laugh, helps keep us organized and never misses the chance to speak her mind. Her will and determination will most certainly take her places.
We celebrated with a princess party at Cinderella Corynn's castle. She was thrilled her day finally arrived and wanted to have a hand in all of the preparations from decorations to the delectable food. She made fairy lip gloss, fairy godmother wands and Cinderella soap for her favors and then turned her culinary expertise to the brunch. Hours later after all the yummy food was prepared and Cinderella's dress cake was complete, it was time to relax and soak up the warm weather outside.
Someone, who shall remain nameless, took this opportunity to sample a piece of cake a little early. Unfortunately, one cannot be too sneaky when blue icing is involved.
Our Cinderella, dressed in her very special ball gown complete with glass slippers, made sure to make the most of this birthday celebration with friends. She wished that it would never end, but as we all know, the clock eventually strikes midnight and brings us into a new day.
Even after the bells chime and the princess changes back into ordinary clothes, she knows that all her wishes have come true. She has a wonderful family who love her dearly, friends who make her smile, and the hopes and dreams of what this wonderful new year of being 5 will bring (I'm sure getting real makeup as a gift didn't hurt, either:)
