A Day In The Life Of...: It's a Small, Small World

Even after all we had accomplished at the Magic Kingdom, we still had time, and most importantly energy to hit the other 3 parks. We boarded the Monorail and zoomed into Epcot.

Epcot

The first time in Epcot, we took advantage of the parks early hours and rode all the rides. Connor love the ride in the Epcot ball called Spaceship Earth and all loved the Nemo ride. As you entered Nemo, the birds were chanting Mine, Mine, Mine which the kids found hilarious. The fish aquarium inside was amazing too how they incorporated it into the ride.

We went on Mommy's favorite ride as a kid, Journey into Imagination with Figment. The kids thought every part of the ride was cute except for the smell lab with the skunk. Bennett hit a wall as the kids built their own figment and tried on Disney apparel.

Since Corynn was just a little short to ride some of the rides, while Daddy and Connor went to the "bathroom" (Soarin Ride), Corynn got to meet the original princess, Cinderella. She was shy at first, but she took her graceful hand and went off and had a beautiful time. When I told Corynn how happy it made me to see her with Cinderella, she told me," Mom, I smiled the whole time!" These precious moments made this trip amazing.

Next up was water fun. One day we were melting so we cooled off in the fountains;

the next day, we had to keep from getting wet and struck from lighting. Note to self, when a massive storm rolls in, it probably isn't smart to wait it out under the enormous metal Epcot ball. What an adventure we all had, clad in our Mickey ponchos. Even Bennett got his very own.

He laughed and smiled the whole time we briskly walked through the countries to Italy to grab ourselves a slice of Italian cuisine.

We left the park as the fireworks were going off in the sky. As we sat on the monorail back to the resort, we had a couple looking at our exhausted faces and the 3 small kids in our stroller. They said to us, as countless other strangers did along the way, "You will miss this in 15 years." That made me want to tear up because even though managing 3 kids throughout these parks wasn't easy, seeing this adventure through their kids eyes, was the best gift anyone could have ever given us.

Hollywood Studios

We arrived on a boat from Epcot to Hollywood Studios. We spent the least time here as there was not a ton to do aside from shows or big kid rides. We tried to go on the Backlot Tour, but lighting in the area made it impossible to accomplish. Connor did get to meet some Toy Story characters, though.

You may be asking yourself why there is a glass window between Connor and Buzz. Well, the character experience is great in theory, but unless you plan your park trip by character meet and great times or don't mind waiting at least 30 mintutes or more for a 30 second picture and autograph, this was the closest we were getting to Buzz. Don't fret though, Connor got some super cool Buzz gloves from his Nanny and Papa Hutch. That was more special than a sweaty picture.

Animal Kingdom

We embarked bright and early on the bus to Animal Kingdom Wednesday morning. We arrived before the park even opened and waited to swipe our way in.

As soon as we entered, we headed straight to Africa for the Kilimanjaro Safari. The Safari, by far, I think was Bennett's favorite.

After the Safari, the kids played in DinoLand and then it was time for a couple rides with the little and big kids.

The little's and me enjoyed the Triceratops Spin.

All the big kids enjoyed Expedition Everest roller coaster.

It was now time for the Kali River Rapids. We wanted to get wet, but didn't expect to get soaked. Corynn luckily just made the cutoff for the ride. She got a special wristband and sat in the princess seat in our raft.

I love the faces of the before and after pics. I am just glad I didn't have an after picture. I was soaked too. I left puddles of water wherever I walked and sat. Great ride, but only go on it if you REALLY want to get wet. There was one wave and it successfully hit all of us.
