Welcome Bennett

On July 3, 2012 our precious Bennett Joseph was born. Our little firecracker weighed in at a whopping 7lbs 1 oz and was 20 inches long.  He is a bundle of joy.
We couldn't be prouder of our new addition, as well as the big brother and sister. They were excited to meet him and got their first glimpse of him through the nursery window.  What they also got a glimpse of is how the world as they knew it had changed.  I know adjusting to a new sibling may take time, but they are ready.  They both kept saying they would help mommy and daddy change the poopy diapers, so I sure hope they are up for the task.

Bennett spent his first 4th of July in hospital and we ventured home to start our complete life the next day.  As we were leaving the hospital, a Good Samaritan told us congratulations on our newborn and handed me two $5 bills for his piggy bank.  We were both shocked and thankful about the thoughtful nature of this stranger.  We will be sure to pay it forward.

The moment we arrived home, the kids were there welcoming their baby brother with open arms, literally.  Corynn rushed over to his car seat, started to help unbuckle him and clapped her hands holding them open ready to cuddle with her brother the first time.  Connor then gave me a hug and said, "Thank you for bringing my baby brother home."
