Stars & Stripes

What a wonderful way to spend the start of the 4th of July weekend.  The kids put on their red, white, and blue, decorated their wagon (or I did) for the parade, and we headed to the park bright and early in the morning (did I mention that the park happened to be red, white, and blue also; I guess no detail of the fun filled day was left untouched).

The kids enjoyed all of the festivities and themed food (they may have ended up more blue and red after the snacks),

But they especially loved riding in the parade.  Corynn ate red and blue fruit snacks (only way to pry her away to sit in the wagon), while Connor waved his sparkler for all to see.

Hopefully the rest of the holiday weekend is just as enjoyable as today was and hopefully they have a blast watching fireworks for the first time.
