Berry Good

It was a beautiful morning for strawberry picking.  We grabbed our container and headed out to the fields.  I am not sure if the kids knew exactly what to do at first, but they caught on quickly.

Connor and Corynn started feverishly picking strawberries no matter what color they were.  I kept telling them to pick the red ripe berries but they must have inherited color blindness from their father.  Both kids also enjoyed smushing the berries prior to throwing them in our box.  I on the other hand made sure to discreetly lose green and juiced ones before the weigh in.

We took home just enough to make a special treat; Strawberry Shortcakes!
