Snow, Swim, Smile

All in the course of one week, the kids had their fill of sledding down hills and sliding down slides. Both adventures led to loads of fun and a mountain of smiles.

The snow adventure came first. We bundled up for, possibly, the real first and last snowfall of the season. They climbed aboard their new sled and got a first class ride around the open fields and down hills in our yard.
They even stopped digging and throwing snowballs to make beautiful snow angels.

Up next was our swim adventure at Timber Ridge Lodge in Lake Geneva, WI. Connor didn't waste anytime jumping in the water and sliding down the slides, while Corynn warmed up with some pool lounging.
Day two was no different. Connor splashed and slid his way around the water and Corynn started off in a leisurely swing above the water; that is until her brother grabbed the splash hose and started spraying her.

Since all of us were now drenched, it was time for mommy and me time and a cruise around the lazy river, while fearless Connor plunged down a big tube slide with Dad. Everything was going great until excited Connor dropped trough at the top of one of the slides. I guess he decided it was less time consuming to do his business there. I luckily caught him in the act and whisked him away to the potty. Little Ben incident #1 (or should I say #2) successfully adverted, as least for now.

Ben and I thoroughly enjoyed watching all the fun and smiles the kids had.
These adventures will be cherished memories.
