The other day, we had our first official Missouri snow. Roads were closed, schools were closed, all for the abominable amount of snowfall...1 inch! So it was fitting that our book club this month was the book Ten on the Sled. Sure there wasn't quite enough to actually go sledding, so we decided to bring the outdoor fun inside.
The book is about ten animals who slip, flip, and twirl their way out of the sled on their downhill ride. Along with the story we made a sledding craft and threw snowballs.
My kids had a little early morning practice with the snowballs, or as they soon found out, extremely large marshmallows.
By the time the rest of the kids arrived, we may have been down a couple delicious snowballs, but we all still had a snowy good time.
